Late Night.

Last night, or should I say early morning at 3:30AM, my mum took off to Bangkok.
I return home to watch a tennis match (Fed WON), and I go to bed at 7am.
Woke up at 2pm.

I had to watch the match on a live online stream.
It made me think. - Since sports are usually broadcasted LIVE. Most people will watch it live. But what about the rest of us who don't have access to the live event or just couldn't watch it?

The only to way to watch it again is to hope for a replay on that TV channel or hope for a DVD.
Not many live events have a DVD made out of it. E.g. A semi-final of a world tournament will not have a DVD made out of it.

This means that once the live event has been broadcast. That's pretty much it. Maybe one or two replays or highlights but then nothing.

Why don't the event organisers release the video for free online? It is not broadcasted anymore anyway, so why bother keeping them? If the videos are released, it will broaden the impact of sport on the world and maybe some more people might take up a sport.

Just a thought.
