SICK!!

I woke up yesterday with a killer headache and was barely able to walk.
My whole body felt weak and I found it hard to stand so I was on the couch the whole day.
I felt like vomiting and almost fainted.

Today I woke up (at 8.30am) with an even worse headache and couldn't get out of bed. I was also sneezing and coughing and found it hard to move. I also had a high fever. By this time, I started thinking that I have SWINE FLU.

So my dad set up a doctor's appointment at 10.15am. It takes me about 10 minutes to get out of bed and after I manage to brush my teeth and have a Panadol, I find myself too weak to stand and ended up in bed again. And as the doctor's appointment time neared, I managed to drag myself to the car and get to the doctor's where I wait in the sitting room almost sleeping.

I tell the doctor my symptoms and he gets a stethoscope out and starts poking around my shoulders and chest with it. He also gives me a pen-looking thing and tells me to put it under my armpit so he can get the temperature. I felt disgusted putting a thing that has been under other people's armpits under mine.

Anyway, the doctor thinks for a few seconds and tells me its a throat infection which leaves me thoroughly unconvinced as I could not imagine how a throat infection could cause my legs to feel weak.

Well, anyway, the doctor gives me a medical certificate which tells me I can take today and tomorrow off and this is why you won't see me at school until Wednesday.
